Lifestyle

Practicing in Austin as a chiropractor has opened many doors and shed light on some interesting twists in what one might think were the keys to long life, success, and happiness.

I'll always offer consults to see if I may be of service to you.  The Problem today is that people think health comes from a bottle - script or non script - However, this is what we should have termed "sick care" years ago in our country.  Then, we could start looking into true "health care" which we call "wellness care" .... and start to understand some of the main factors in life, happiness, and longevity.

Let's start with a 44 year old male - fairly good diet, he keeps alcohol to a minimum, non-smoker, and an avid runner.  At his job he works hard 5-6 days a week.  Stress is a major factor in his life, but he does nothing to reduce the stress nor alleviate the symptoms chronic stress has on the body.  This creates changes in his body that are noticeable or sometimes not.  A cascade of events unfold that raise his ph levels, stiffen his joints, begin to show constant sore spots, and major pain areas consistent with this paradigm, but specific to him.  This is the same man who tirelessly plugs after a "training regiment" and "healthy diet" constantly, but fails to see the true cause of his body structure and chemistry changing behind him.  He dies - still young - of heart complications.  As an austin chiropractor you see how I would support this lifestyle and it is fully socially acceptable to do so.  However, let's consider the other side of the coin.  A 62 year old male - poor diet, average alcohol consumption, smokes on occasion, and does not exercise. He works 4-5 days a week and his job brings him joy.  He feels accomplished, useful and happy in his career, which he often carries outside the office to various social gatherings where he enjoys himself, his friends, and laughs often.  He has 30 years left of his life, and embraces and smiles through each day of them.

The Solution:

Finding Joy and a Lifestyle that Creates it!

Here's a fun little illustration explaining this area of the human as best I could -

Who you are today is what you have thought about yesterday.
When you are born, all of your nervous system in laid out in a matrix like this,
as you learn, you are simply "paving" the roads you take the most,
and as you continue to do the same things, the roads you don't take start to fall away.
This is why "you literally become what you think about over and over"
This is the importance of continually doing new things, and also receiving regular chiropractic adjustments
to stimulate all the nerve pathways that you don't use as much.
